Oil in Water Nanoemulsions Loaded with Tebuconazole for Populus Wood Protection against White- and Brown-Rot Fungi

چکیده

Eugenol in water nanoemulsions loaded with tebuconazole appear as a very promising alternative formulations for wood protection against xylophagous fungi that are the main species responsible different rots structures. The dispersions prepared and upon dilution (impregnation mixtures) were characterized by apparent hydrodynamic diameter distribution of oil droplets their long-term stability. impregnation mixtures applied on Populus canadensis I-214 clone using pressure-vacuum system, effectiveness fungal degradation Gloeophyllum sepiarium Pycnoporus sanguineus was determined. retention about 40% amount contained mixtures. results showed process leads to antifungal wood, mass loss after 16 weeks being reduced more than 10 times relation control (untreated poplar wood) reference beech wood).

Evaluation of White-rot Fungi for Biopulping of Wood

Ergosterol involves in fungal cell growth as a major component in fungal cell membranes. It can be an indicator that shows the fungal activity, and its content depends on the fungal strains, culture, growth conditions and so on. In this study, fungal activities and growth patterns of three white-rot fungi strains isolated in Korea were evaluated by determination of ergosterol contents during th...

Oxidative Degradation of Wood by Brown-Rot Fungi

Brown-rot fungi are Basidiomycetes that remove cellulose and other polysaccharides from wood, leaving an amorphous, brown, crumbly residue that is composed largely of lignin, hence the name brown-rot. Decay by brown-rot fungi is by far the most serious type of damage to wood in-service. These fungi cause structural failure before losses in total wood substance are detected. The effect of brown-...

Extensive sampling of basidiomycete genomes demonstrates inadequacy of the white-rot/brown-rot paradigm for wood decay fungi.

Basidiomycota (basidiomycetes) make up 32% of the described fungi and include most wood-decaying species, as well as pathogens and mutualistic symbionts. Wood-decaying basidiomycetes have typically been classified as either white rot or brown rot, based on the ability (in white rot only) to degrade lignin along with cellulose and hemicellulose. Prior genomic comparisons suggested that the two d...

Pectin degradation during colonization of wood by brown-rot fungi

Brown-rot decay results in rapid reduction in degree of polymerization of holocellulose, with concomitant strength loss without removing lignin. Development of new methods of wood protection will require focusing on early events in the sequence of fungal attack during colonization. Pit membranes (sapwood) of wood cell walls represent a readily available source of nonlignified carbohydrate, i.e....

Fumigation oF wood with aluminium phosphide For protection against Fungi

pant h & tripathi s. 2011. Fumigation of wood with aluminium phosphide for protection against fungi. The search for alternatives to the environmentally harmful fumigant methyl bromide has led to the evaluation of phosphine as preshipment and in-transit treatments for logs and sawn timber. The biological activity of aluminium phosphide against wood decaying fungi was determined using agar plate ...
